There are many different methods to treat acne, depending on the severity of the condition. Book an appointment with our Medical Doctor to find the best route of treatment for you, ranging from peels and creams to prescription Oral Retinoids, such as Oratane or Roacutane. Prescription Oral Retinoids are used only in severe cases of acne, where the lesions are cystic and not responding to other modalities of treatment. This medication is not suitable for woman pregnant/wanting to fall pregnant, and due to the strength of the medication, baseline bloods and a medical examination is necessary. This treatment of acne is best used in winter, as the skin becomes very dry, and very sensitive to the sun.
